Research & Development

We are studying and developing food products, adopting scientific thinking and the viewpoints of customers.
Here at NIPPN, we are studying and developing flour-based processed foods and other food products in pursuit of the levels of food and health we consider to be most desirable.

As well as focusing on research themes for the medium and long term, including basic research, quality control and safety, and quality testing, our Research and Development Division is constantly working on research and development aimed at expanding basic research, improving our technical development capabilities, and paving the way for the next generation of life sciences.
In terms of analysis, we spend every day developing analytical technologies to ensure safety and peace of mind. That includes obtaining ISO 17025, the international standard outlining general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
We also engage in activities aimed at developing new businesses and markets, including exploring bioactive materials, developing ingredients for functional foods, developing pet foods and products, and advancing bioscience. We continue to actively examine potential patent applications too, in an effort to establish intellectual property rights.
Our development team plans, researches, develops and commercializes new products, including wheat and other flours, premix products, groceries, frozen foods and pet foods. We offer product solutions that suit our customers' lifestyles, and gather and publish basic data, so that we can analyze trends in market demand and focus on developing new and innovative products.
We use our four technical centers nationwide as a means of providing information on products and processing technologies, including wheat and premixes, and sharing technologies with our customers, as part of our locally oriented approach to sales promotion activities.
As our Research and Development Division continues to research and develop safe and reliable products, whilst also responding flexibly to constantly shifting market trends, we will continue to explore eagerly anticipated possibilities for healthier and longer lives.
